As core equipment in industrial production, the stable operation of mechanical equipment directly affects production efficiency, product quality, and even personnel safety.Due to the diverse types of equipment and complex operating conditions, improper operation or lack of maintenance can easily lead to malfunctions, downtime, decreased accuracy, or even safety accidents. Therefore, mastering the scientific points of use and maintenance is fundamental to ensuring equipment efficiency and lifespan.

First, pre-operation preparation and inspection are the first line of defense against risks. Operators must be thoroughly familiar with the equipment's technical documents, clearly understand its applicable scope, parameter thresholds, and prohibitions, and strictly prohibit overloading, exceeding speed limits, or unauthorized modifications. Before starting, the lubrication system oil level and quality, the tightness of transmission components, the integrity of safety protection devices, and the insulation of electrical circuits should be checked item by item. Special attention should be paid to any abnormal signs in high-temperature, high-pressure, or high-speed operating parts. Power should only be applied for trial operation after confirming there are no hidden dangers.

Dynamic monitoring during operation is equally indispensable. Process parameters must be strictly set according to regulations to avoid arbitrary adjustments that could lead to system imbalance. Closely monitor changes in equipment vibration, noise, temperature rise, and odor; these phenomena are often early signs of bearing wear, lubrication failure, or component interference. For automated equipment, sensor sensitivity and control system response logic must be checked regularly to prevent cascading failures caused by signal delays or misinterpretations. Simultaneously, personnel must maintain a safe distance from moving parts, and actions such as crossing safety barriers or reaching in to clean chips are strictly prohibited, thus establishing a strong safety barrier through operational habits.

Maintenance should follow the principle of "prevention first, implementation as needed." Routine maintenance should include basic tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and tightening, and periodically replace critical consumables such as filters and hydraulic oil to prevent accelerated component aging due to impurities or oil film failure. Regular maintenance should be conducted based on equipment operating time and intensity, including precision calibration, clearance adjustment, and wear part inspection. When necessary, non-destructive testing techniques should be used to assess the internal structural condition. It is particularly important that power be disconnected and warning signs posted before any maintenance work. Disassembly and assembly involving high-voltage or rotating parts must be performed by certified personnel to prevent accidental energy release and injury.

Furthermore, establishing complete equipment files and maintenance logs is crucial. Recording operating data, fault phenomena, and handling measures provides empirical evidence for subsequent optimization and helps to trace potential design or operational defects. Only by integrating a sense of standardization into every step can we achieve the dual goals of maximizing the efficiency of mechanical equipment and ensuring its safe operation.
